This is my husband, John. John is from Reisterstown, MD. We met at St. Mary’s College of Maryland and graduated together in 2005. John was a computer science/ artificial intelligence major. In 2005 we moved to Seattle. In 2010 John started a software company called MokaSocial which specializes in mobile applications for smart phones. John’s hobbies include playing games, doing leather work, listening to music, urban hiking, going to the gym, traveling, coding, drinking wine, and learning new things. John is awesome because he teaches me new things every day, he’s creative, has a great sense of humor, and is fun to be around. |
| This is my dad. He was born and raised in Maryland. He works for the Dept. of Defense in Arlington, VA. His hobbies include bicycle riding, traveling, skiing, reading, hiking, riding his motorcycle, playing tennis, and lifting weights. My dad is awesome because he knows a little something about everything, has a great sense of humor, and has always spent time with me and been very caring and supportive. |

This is my mom. She was born in Kentucky and grew up primarily in Alabama. During the school year she works as a special ed. para-educator in an elementary school in Silver Spring, MD; in the summer she works as a counselor at a summer camp for kids with developmental disabilities in Southern MD. Her hobbies include reading, walking, traveling, gardening, playing tennis, and spending time with her family. My mom is awesome because she’s smart, fun, warm, and loving, and she taught me how to be a good person. |
| This is my brother, Andrew. He graduated from St. Mary’s College of MD in 2009 with a degree in Sociology. After graduating Andrew moved to Asbury Park, NJ for a year an a half, and then moved to Baltimore, MD in July, 2010. Andrew taught elementary school special education in a Baltimore City school from 2010-2011. His hobbies include reading, watching movies, playing games, going to concerts, listening to music, and hanging out with his fiance, Jessica. My brother is awesome because he is a lot of fun to hang out with, is very interesting and clever, and is just one of those people who would never be mean to anyone. |

This is Ivy, our pet pug! John and I adopted Ivy from the Seattle pug rescue in January, 2011 when she was three years old. Likes: being incredibly bad on walks, non-biscuit treats, people-food, wrestling, any type of automatic door, tall grass, YouTube videos. Dislikes: skateboards, cars, escalators. Ivy is awesome because she is full of energy and affection and is pretty much the cutest dog ever.
